Fashion sense
From the “If You Can’t Laugh At Yourself” file, I submit the following photograph:
The funny thing is, pretty much all of these clothes are somewhat in style again in one way or another. There are a couple of shirts in that photo that I wouldn’t mind having now.
If anyone can point out which of these little urchins is me, you win a prize.

second row from the bottom, second pic from right, blue and black shirt?
Oct 28, 2008 at 10:50am@ronbailey No way, that kid has hair. Clearly, Tony wasn’t there that day.
Oct 28, 2008 at 12:17pm@Zachary Bir
I wasn’t going to go there, but a good point nevertheless.
Oct 28, 2008 at 12:24pmI’d bet bottom row, first photo on the left.
Oct 28, 2008 at 12:27pmCan your mother enter the contest?
Oct 28, 2008 at 4:43pmFrankly I’m more concerned about those 5 spooky missing children slots with the § symbols…
Oct 28, 2008 at 6:30pmRonbailey nailed it - I’m the dork in the blue and black shirt.
@John: that’s a girl. So, uh, thanks. Her name was Melissa (and still is, AFAIK) and I got bitten by her St. Bernard once.
Top row, 2nd in: Betty. She was the daughter of Polish immigrants and she stank to high heaven. She had a crush on me. Lucky me. She carried that Kurpianka doll everywhere.
Top row, red shirt: Maryanne, who stopped growing right around that time. Seriously, when 5th grade rolled around, she was still all of 3′11″. I bet she’s in the circus now.
3rd row, 2nd in: don’t remember his name, but he had a “stomach problem”, and barfed up on the classroom floor at least twice a week.
Bottom row, 3rd in: Lance, who was always yelling “I’M VIETNAMESE NOT CHINESE!” for some reason.
And this was the *gifted* group.
Good times, good times…
Oct 28, 2008 at 6:40pmSorry ’bout that. No offense intended to either of you.
Oct 28, 2008 at 9:09pmI guessed it! That adorable little smirk is undeniably yours. But unfortunately for me, I see that Ron Bailey called it already. Late again.
Nov 3, 2008 at 11:51pmDon’t lie — you still have that shirt.
Nov 10, 2008 at 8:38pmYou are very easily spotted.
