You: a gorgeous Canon EF 50mm f/1.2 L USM.
Me: I stared at you while you sat in the display case.
I know you noticed me too, with your big glass eye. You’ve been used. I could tell. The minor scars on your skin told me that you’ve lived through a lot. But I can love you. Oh yes, I can take care of you. We can do beautiful things together.
Wait for me?

I think that lens is waiting for me, not you. Sorry.
Actually, I *just* bought a 40D with the 17-85mm and clicked my RSS feed to read this latest entry of yours. What a coincidence that that precise lens is on my wishlist. Along with the 70-200mm and a 580EX II flash.
What a damn slippery debt slope I’m in now…
Oct 25, 2008 at 4:34pmMan, you have a 50/1.8. Go get the 35/1.4L and shut the hell up and let me live vicariously through you. Probably cheaper, if not quite as sexily exotic, and you can hand hold it at that half a stop slower shutter speed.
You know I’m right, right?
